Pyramid Plus Approach Training Fall 2015

PPA Info and Registration Fall 2015.pdf

"Pyramid Plus training offers a model that teaches you to look not only at specific interventions for challenging behavior, but first and foremost the environment and relationships surrounding the child that could be contributing to the behavioral challenges. The course taught by Kelly and Erin offered fun, interactive group activities, scenarios for problem solving solutions, video demonstrations, and great handout materials. I have referred to the CSEFEL and TACSEI websites for resources when helping to problem solve situations with families. Though the course is geared somewhat towards a daycare/preschool setting, Kelly and Erin adapt the scenarios to include EI providers and in-home situations.  There were opportunities for making an eco map to determine the supports in a family’s life, write functional, measurable outcomes, and come up with a plan to address those goals. As an early intervention provider working towards a coaching model of service delivery, this training helped me think about the dialogue I would use with families. Additionally it encouraged me to look at overall social-emotional wellness, rather than quick-fix strategies that may only assist them short-term. I would definitely recommend Kelly and Erin as teachers of this course for all who are looking to attend this type of training".-Early Intervention Provider

"Several of our teachers have attended the PPA training hosted by Erin and Kelly. All of them have thoroughly enjoyed the training and came back to our school with a new purpose and energy. We have seen them use the techniques and ideas taught in the class with our students and it has made a very positive impact on their classrooms. I would highly recommend the PPA training to new and experienced ECE Professionals".-Child Care Center Owner and Area Director

"Erin and Kelley are excellent presenters, and the information that they teach is extremely useful in any age classroom. It even has helped me with my personal relationships with my grand kids".-Teacher Infant and Young Toddlers
